Brilliant author, Margaret Webb (buy her epic Canadian food book and CCA Silver winner, Apples to Oysters here) and friend, Keith Everts of Diamond Willow Range, a group of seven organic ranching families in Alberta. Alberta author Laurie Stempfle wins the Cuisine Canada Canadian Cookbook Award for English language cookbook of the year, despite competition from well-known author Elizabeth Baird and James Beard Award and IACP winner Jennifer McLagan.

The cow boys were visiting from Chicago: (l-r) Kade Earley, Flynn Hastings, Tyler MacPherson, Kole Keating, Cole MacPherson.
